Lawrence Medical Center
The importance of art placed within medical facilities can not be overstated. With this particular project, I selected works geared towards a geriatric based clientele.

Soft, abstracted, nature-based pieces accented the space, providing an upbeat but not overly bold statement along with a splash of color therapy; after proposing a few artists work, the client decided to go with works by Edda Jakab.

Edda's prints and paintings are, "not so much about suggesting nature as the eye sees it, but through the idea of nature find my way/come closer to that which is fundamental, enduring, essential".

Sadly, Edda is deceased, but her estate has made available a small collection of fine art prints and original paintings for purchase.

Here's the grouping of prints that are featured in the medical center.

"I want to establish a meditative environment that invites contemplation.
Create an open situation that holds possibility for wonder, to wander in and
perhaps get lost of find a little of oneself in."
