"Mosaics are a rich, vibrant, timeless art form that can be used in architectural, fine art, home décor and public art venues. Each of our pieces is made by hand and with exquisite care. We blend high quality glass, ceramics and other fine materials into a piece of art that is unique and lasting. Most of our fine art projects have an average of 1,600 individually shaped pieces of glass per square foot."

My mixed media works are made of hundreds of bits of paper glued into position like fragments in a mosaic. Based on field drawings, they interpret the emotional and spiritual meaning of landscape. As I translate my field paintings into collages, I emphasize edges of forms and depth of landscape space. Layers of paint, paper, and charcoal create surfaces emulating textures of rock, water and foliage. Finished works are up to 92” in size.

"Experiences such as travel, conversation, or a dream might inform an idea for a painting; events, interaction with nature and people are often my source of inspiration. Regardless of the amount of time it might take me to complete a painting, the underlying idea can be captured quickly and built upon in layers to create the end result.
Since childhood painting has been a tool of choice for personal expression. My Mom taught me at a young age to value self expression and the visual arts; her influence has inspired me to continue to paint. I hold a BFA from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA."

Recently I collaborated on a glass project with interior designer Angie Schwab of Angie Schwab Interiors http://angieschwabinteriors.com/ featuring the glass artists, Janet & Rick Nicholson, of Nicholson Blown Glass http://www.nicholsonblownglass.com/.

Our client was interested in dimensional and colorful art for the space; they did not want to showcase another print or painting in the space above an entrance hallway (on a second story wall) adjacent to a stairway.

In terms of sourcing the artwork, I focused on proposing options that offered enough detail to provide interest from every angle; since the work is enjoyed from a distance, the pieces also needed to have presence in order to hold their own in a rather large (and high-up)space.

The hot sculpted glass grouping has dimensional interest and adds a rich and sophisticated color to the space. From every viewpoint, the works are striking. I can not say enough about how the glass enriches the space through color, dimension, and pattern.

The bonus on this project was our cute four-legged installation assistant!

"I work with steel in the traditional forging manor of a blacksmith. When steel is heated to forging temperatures around 2200 degrees it can be manipulated in the same ways as clay. Although steel is usually first thought of as an industrial material, I like to draw attention to our connection with it on a human level, by creating objects that reveal organic forms."

“Good art adorns your environment; great art adds to your life.Over the past 25 years, the evolution of Laurie’s fiber art has combined her technical knowledge with her personal imagery to produce the unique pieces that have become her signature trademark. She has the unusual ability to create individual pieces that are structurally stable and imbued with an individual presence for any environment. She also has the rare capacity to create the perfect image that employs the right textile technique."

" Whether it's physical, mental or emotional, I am curious about environments around the world. Abstraction is my inquiry into the nature of life. Bridging polarities: Lightness and Density; Joy and Sorrow; Flesh and Spirit; Good and Evil, I am exploring tensions between opposites and a still point." --Anne Marchand

"All my life I have struggled with writing, now my work is completely covered in text.I use pottery as a vehicle to explore decoration and other formal questions. It allows me to investigate form, space and image. My greatest satisfaction comes from thoroughly filling surfaces with color and finely detailed decoration in a spirit that I feel is playful and whimsical. My attempt is to make the environment an expressive participant and to address the importance of aesthetics in our daily lives."

"My work begins with inspiration, meaning a timely or creative idea. Since I always work in series it is probably provoked by what came before, the anxiety caused by not getting it right, and the desire to stay in the bliss of working. It is like rubbing two sticks together to create fire. In my case, the sticks are the vast amount of materials, the color of the paints, the possibilities of texture, line producing elements, canvas, words, printing blocks, and the manipulation of papers."
